I as in "IN WHICH THE WRITER HITS THE WALL" (A-Z Challenge) UPDATE

In high endurance sports, like running marathons, athletes sometimes speak of "hitting the wall." It's a sudden energy loss or general fatigue, the result of losing glycogen (sugar) on the body.

Bear has hit a different wall, probably not related to glycogen. My get up and go got up and went.

So I'm having a few days off, or off days.

But as General Douglas MacArthur famously promised, after his escape from the Philippines, "I shall return."

In the meantime, blessing and Bear hugs!

I forgot:

It snowed last night. It is supposed to snow again both Saturday and Sunday. We've had seven months of winter; do I hear eight?

And we are being promised nicer weather — for the week after next.

Addendum

Sometimes when you relax, things will come to you. Like turning a negative into a positive! Turning a challenge into a Blog Title! Yes!

"I love it when a story comes together," said the writer.

Up all night writing. I was about to say, "Sorry to hear that," but it might have been a great night. Followed by a not-quite-so-great day. Well, whatever, as long as your are OK.

Not sure what will happen next. I have some posts written ahead, which will automatically post themselves at the appropriate time. Ain't technology great!

Energy drinks. My reading suggests those are actually bad for the heart. I must investigate more fully.

    1. Marcy, thanks so much for your visit and your note. Lots of my posts start with "In which. … That's part of the playful nature of my stories of a Bear trapped in a Human body. (The Bear has figured out most things Human, but there is still lots of room for a faux pas, or three.)

Snow is expected over the next three days, though not in any significant amounts. Sigh. It seems that spring might come within the next month.

  15. Bear, my goodness, seven months of winter would make anyone a bit down. Your get up and go is tired of going in snow! Rest well and I hope the weekend truly does bring a change in weather.

    1. Great to see you here, Lydia!

This weekend's weather: snow on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Probably just enough to make the roads messy, and put a fresh coat of white on things.

But it should melt. Sometime. Maybe.

  18. I had a day like that for G.. It happens to all of us! The thing about A-Z is that it helps push through. Last year it taught me a lot about getting past that block :) Glad to see you made it to the next letter! (we're getting more snow next week too - hang in there, it's almost over!)

So glad you've dropped by the Bear's den. Please leave a note -- getting notes is such fun, and often informative. I'll get back to you, here or by e-mail, as soon as I can (or, if it's winter, after I wake up). 'Til then, please Bear with me.
