IN WHICH BEAR DECIDES IT'S TIME TO DO HIS HOMEWORK — TOMORROW

Strange things keep occurring.

I wasn't expecting another award, but, well, something just happened. Out of the clear blue sky, so to speak. And not just one of them, but two.

Wonderful Zoe, at Rewritten, has given me a Liebster award! Such fun.

And then thoughtful Lisa, at Diary of a Square Toothed Girl, gave me another Liebster! Wow!

I'm very touched by the kindness of these two excellent bloggers. Thank you so much, Zoe and Lisa!

For those of you unaware, these awards have quite a bit of homework related to them. That's not bad; it's quite a bit of fun, actually. But today (Sunday) is not the best day for this. I am so medicated that walking from one end of the apartment to the other is a veritable odyssey. I could Bearly write this "Thank You" note.

Perhaps tomorrow I'll get my "homework" done. Maybe.

Blessings and Bear hugs, friends!

  1. Dang! I was going to give you a Liebster later this week. I think two is enough for you for now.

    1. Thank you, Janie. Bear's motto in this regard "All contributions gratefully received."

      Thanks for thinking of me!

  2. I thought giving out awards was a thing of the past and I am surprised that anyone is still doing it. It used to be quite a rage some years back and, frankly, I was glad when it seemed to be over. I don't envy you having to do the homework. Good luck!

    1. Well, Irene, some traditions seem not to die. I now have three Liebster Awards. Bear likes shiny things, like gold cups, or sparkling stones. The Liebster is neither. But that's OK. Awards are terms of endearment, so to speak.

  3. My goodness you make a walk across the apartment sound like a poetic oddyssey. I have to acquire some of that...at least that's what my editor says. I'm glad you don't feel put out by the award. It is a bit like the chain mail of the blogosphere...but it was given with much more sincerity than that! You're one of my favs. Hope you had a good weekend, and that where you are spring is in the air...after all squeezing a bear into an apartment can't be all that light and breezy. :) Z~

    1. I'm always happy to receive kind thoughts and supportive gestures from friends.

A Bear squeezed into an apartment is not a happy Bear.

  4. I haven't seen awards going around in a long while, and I am happy to see that they are on the rise again.
I do hope that you get to feeling better. Please, take care of you...
    Hugs,
    J.

    1. Maybe I'm just in the wrong quadrant of the internet, Jackie. I've received three Liebster awards in about as many weeks. All very puzzling to this Bear. Strange; very strange.

I'm all right for the shape I'm in, Jackie.

    1. Thank you, Mrs. Ornery. Three awards in three weeks was a bit overwhelming, though. First in just receiving the awards, then it trying to figure out what to do with them. Just a bit much for a sleepy old Bear.

  7. Just tell them the dog ate your homework ... do bears have dogs? I mean as pets, not for a snack or anything.

    1. Bears don't have dogs per se, but I've got a really good friend, Nick, who's a coyote. He came and woke me up this spring, way before it was actually time to come out of hibernation; this link will let you read that story. But I haven't seen Nick lately. I suppose I could say he ate my homework, but that wouldn't be fair, nor would it be right. So I'm not going to do that. But thank you for the suggestion, Kellie.

I hope you have a wonderful week!

    1. Well, um, yes. When I'm depressed, and simply cannot cope, I sleep. Yesterday. I slept about 13.5 hours. And that, my friend, is that.

Hope you have a wonderful week.

  12. OK, Bear ... now you are beginning to sound like my grandson Charlie ~~ the homework excuse part! Wishing you a good Monday.

PS - was going to spout some more German for you today, but decided to let that bear brain of yours rest a bit more.

    1. I don't know any German. I was about to say it would be like talking Greek to me. Except that I know Greek.

Hmmmm. It's going to be one of "those days" — where everything in my head gets mixed up. Oh, wait; it's Monday. That's the explanation right there.

So glad you've dropped by the Bear's den. Please leave a note -- getting notes is such fun, and often informative. I'll get back to you, here or by e-mail, as soon as I can (or, if it's winter, after I wake up). 'Til then, please Bear with me.
PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS AN AWARD-FREE AND MEME-FREE SITE. While I'm honoured to receive awards, I find they take way too much energy in completing. Thanks, but no, thanks.
