A day set aside to remember mothers.
Mine died about nine years ago. I still think of her often — the way she was, the things she did.
But we all have, or had, mothers. In fact, many of you are mothers. You are the traditional keepers of home and family, even if that is a shared responsibility in your household.
If, for some peculiar reason, you have been overlooked, forgotten, ignored — Bear presents the following public service message:
Blessings of home and family life!
May you experience them, today and always!
Quel ours doux vous êtes .... merci!

Thank you. My son, Favorite Young Man, is an auto mechanic. He took my car to work with him yesterday and put two new belts on it and checked the tires. I would have paid him, but he said no, happy mother's day. It's very nice to have a son who keeps me from needing to make a car payment.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Janie

ReplyDeleterest in peace to your mom, and a beautiful sentiment to all moms out there!

We had a nice celebration with our moms today. The cat has not yet recovered from having strangers in his house.
ReplyDeleteBear hugs to you, too!
How very sweet! I remembered my mom, and you remembered me! Thanks, Bear! :-)
ReplyDeleteAww, so sweet. This is a beautiful post.
ReplyDeleteI am not "officially" a mother, but have been a stand in over the years. I thank you, Sir!
ReplyDeleteMy mom has been gone 11 years now. We are never too old not to need our Mothers, are we?
ReplyDeleteI didn't even tell Tanya it was Mother's Day yesterday. Yesterday was Remembrance of the Dead in Russia and Ukraine. We (Tanya, Lina and I) walked up to Roman's grave. Tears were shed.
My kids have had a hard time with Mother's Day since Ella died but are thankful (as am I) for all the Mom's who have loved and cared for them and influenced their lives over the years. We have been blessed with such wonderful friends.
Mothers Day..... Thanks Bear
ReplyDeleteI walked with a daughter, had phone calls from others and then I worked in the yard. Couldn't start the mower. Dang.
Hope you had a wonderful Mothers Day going at your house, too.
That's beautiful. Thank you. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you, Bear. That was lovely
ReplyDeleteThank you Rob. And blessings for the memory of your dear mom as well♡

I'm hoping your wonderful message came with a bear hug!! Because I love normal hugs... You throw a bear into that quasi on and I'm in heaven!

My mother is also gone; she is rejoicing in heaven with her mom.
ReplyDeleteI am so very blessed with three grown kids and 3 gr-kids.
It's nice to remember your mom on this day. You must miss her very much.

had a lovely mothers day, thanks!
ReplyDeleteThank you for your kind, fond, and appreciative thoughts. I had a good day.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the good wishes. My mom died in 1993 when I was 24. These days I am the mom at the "Mother''s Days" celebrations at our house. I didn't think much about Mother's Day this year, because obviously my mom isn't here anymore. I was amazed to discover that my two kids did a lot of thinking and planning. They made me lovely gifts and we had a great day together. It was almost a shock to the system this year to realize that this holiday is about me now. Wow. Kind of like my birthday. It was cool.
