Bear began life at "the Centre of the Universe" — Toronto, in the province of Ontario, Canada
(More details come later.)
Bear currently resides in the province of Saskatchewan, which is is on the Canadian prairies, west of Ontario. We're about 2,200 kilometres (or about 1375 miles) west of Toronto.
