I cannot think of a better start for today!

(I do not remember from whom I purloined this beauty. I think I know, but I forgot to make a note. If it's yours, I apologize, and I'll give you credit of you let me now.)

Blessings and Bear hugs, everyone!

  1. that helps even in retirement as I have assigned Mondays to be my day of doing "office work," like opening mail, paying bills, balance check books, etc. So thank you Bear!

    1. Well, you certainly have a creative Monday! You make me tired just thinking about all that. I think I need to go back to bed!

  2. On Sunday night, I eagerly wait for Monday because it's the day that the husband and children leave me alone. Mentally, I make a list of everything that I'm going to get done and then when Monday morning gets here, I get overwhelmed with my list and hardly get anything done. :) Maybe this is the way it should be as I sit here to read a few blogs!

    1. Making a list and getting overwhelmed! That is so like me! Good reason to pretend it's not Monday on Monday!

    1. Glad you found that helpful, Janie. Now that you've got Monday, maybe you could make up the rest of the days for yourself. And share them with us.

    1. Glad you enjoyed it, Debra! Maybe if we had two Sundays in a week, and then went straight to Tuesday, that would help. Although, frankly, in a situation like that, I fear Tuesday would feel like Monday.

OK, back to the drawing board. Or is it drawing bored?

    1. Hey, you've given me a great idea for Mondays. Thank you so much. "Load Monday's with favourite stuff."

And, for the record, I have never met a Human who was too relaxed. Unless said Human was dead.

  9. In retirement, I look forward to Mondays because my weekday routine can resume! Funny how things change when I'm not working... :-)

    1. Major changes in retirement! Oh, yah. For me, this not working in retirement is not working. I'm still trying find things for me to do. My doctor keeps "encouraging" me to try new things. Right.

  10. The trick is to finagle a way not to work on Mondays :-)

    1. I'll keep that in mind, kj. Although, being retired, that is very easy to do.
      too easy, in fact.

Maybe I should do the opposite; finagle a task to do on Mondays.

    1. I understand that. Absolutely! Also, especially for Monday, never do today what you can put off until tomorrow. That makes such sense!

  12. Yes, Mondays are difficult! Glad you got your plank in bud, way to go! I have a sign like that and it says Keep Calm and Run On. of course, what else would it say!

    1. Somehow, I do not equate keeping calm with running. But then, I'm a Bear, and I sometimes don't get the subtle niceties of Human language.

  13. I used to hate Mondays when I worked. Now Monday can be a Thursday, it makes no difference when one is retired.

    1. As an ancient wise man said, "Seven days of unending work makes one weak." Well, whatever. Except, I suppose, it could turn out that every day has a certain Mondayness to it.

    1. Actually, I don't mind Mondays so much, especially now that I'm retired. When I was working as a Pastor, Monday was supposedly my day off, but more commonly my "off day."

So glad you've dropped by the Bear's den. Please leave a note -- getting notes is such fun, and often informative. I'll get back to you, here or by e-mail, as soon as I can (or, if it's winter, after I wake up). 'Til then, please Bear with me.
