Everyone but you and me. I can't get HBO, so I'll wait until next year when the season comes out on several discs. All I can get are the highlights via YouTube.
It is a tv show, of which I can only get highlights at this point. But I am a great lover of historical fiction (or historical fiction-fantasy), or things like that, which is the basis of Game of Thrones. Hope you are having a great summer!
You're missing the most exciting show on tv! Which may, or likely may not, be of much importance in the overall scheme of things. Considering the beauty of your surroundings.
Trying to explain the Game of Throne is like trying to explain Downton Abbey, only three times as hard. In this case Tyrion is the dwarf son of a powerful but scheming father, brother to a psychopathic, hateful sister, and brother to a pretty good, one-handed knight. Consider yourself informed.
For a minute I thought it might be the slogan on your new t-shirt! I've no idea what the show is, but if it's as good as Downton Abbey I'd definitely watch it!
it's called the Game of Thrones, and can be found on HBO in the US — even though it is a largely British production (as one can tell from the accents of many of the characters). I don't get it on our tv, but I can pick up bits and pieces by checking for it through Google. I don't know if you can get it in Britain.
Blessings and Bear hugs!
P.S.: I hope your various home-movings are going well.
Tyrion Lannister is a dwarf, who has been picked on all his life. His father hates him; his sister hates him, and wants him dead. His brother, however, is rather fond of him. He's been through a patently unfair trial. But he as very good at things, and recently saved the capital from being overrun by invaders. He is quite a likeable guy, and would leave a huge void were he bumped off. I understand the season ended with him still alive, so I'm not expecting a riot. You can relax!
Yup. Tyrion caught him with, of all people, Shea (Tyrion's real love, who has just betrayed him during his trial). Things get complicated and messy from there. I haven't seen it, but follow the producers stories on what they are doing.
Have not got onto this one. i can't watch one telly episode without doing a binge watch so in order to do work I am holding off on the telly for now. Hope you're having a good summer!
So glad you've dropped by the Bear's den. Please leave a note -- getting notes is such fun, and often informative. I'll get back to you, here or by e-mail, as soon as I can (or, if it's winter, after I wake up). 'Til then, please Bear with me. PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS AN AWARD-FREE AND MEME-FREE SITE. While I'm honoured to receive awards, I find they take way too much energy in completing. Thanks, but no, thanks.
It seems everyone except me is watching Game of Thrones.

Add me to the list ...
DeleteUM, which list?

Who the heck is that? I guess I'm just not with the times, Bear. Or maybe it's a joke that I'm missing. :-)
ReplyDeleteYou, my lady, are far too sophisticated to be watching Game of Thrones. I beg your forgiveness.
DeleteBlessings and Bear hugs!
P.S.: I have a surprise for you, once I get reorganized from our excursion.
This must be a TV show that I am totally unfamiliar with.
ReplyDeleteSending you hugs,
Jackie

My son and I will be very upset if they kill him off. Jon Snow too. This season has gone by much to fast with too little story line.
ReplyDeleteAnother kindred soul! Thanks.

ReplyDeleteYou are in my good thoughts.
Thanks, Margie!

Blessings back to you my friend and I don't get that channel.

I am equally in the proverbial dark, but hello to you, mr bear

In the dark. In Canada. Pretty much the same thing. No cause for alarm.
DeleteMostly a way of saying I'm back from our travels, though I am the worse for wear.

I am not among the well informed.
ReplyDeleteLove,

I can't deal with that much information. It might push something about the Earl of Grantham out of my head.
DeleteThe Earl of who?

I don't know what that means, but my son is a big fan of that show.
ReplyDeleteHope you are feeling better these days dear R-bear.

So, as I understand it ... he murdered his father?
DeleteYup. Tyrion caught him with, of all people, Shea (Tyrion's real love, who has just betrayed him during his trial). Things get complicated and messy from there. I haven't seen it, but follow the producers stories on what they are doing.

I think I am the only person on earth who has not watched this show!
ReplyDeleteFear not, Terri; there are many like you in that regard. You are in good company.

ReplyDeleteThe summer is going reasonably. Actually, I won't get to se the shows until they come out on DVD, sometime next year, I expect.
DeleteBlessings and Bear hugs!
Sadly (or otherwise) I am poorly informed. I can guess but that is all.
ReplyDeleteFret not, my friend. It's simply an hour's diversion from the brutishness of life.
ReplyDeletePeace and joy!
