If rainy days and Mondays always get me down, how do I feel on a Monday when it has rained all day?
You get the picture.
Thanks to all of you who posted kind and supportive notes to my last blog entry. I was surprised by the fact that so many of you have experienced depression, either yourself, or in your family. The Black Dog loves to visit as many as he can.
Blessings and Bear hugs!
Today's Weather Report
Rain, rain, rain. Temperature of 9C (48F). "Gloomy day, isn't it?" said Eeyore.
The sun will come out tomorrow tomorrow....oops that is a song right:) It will though I know. Thanks Bear for the encouragement and I am just happy it is not snowing anymore next stop haying:) Bear hugs too you. B
ReplyDeleteThe sun was out today, and things were warm. Everything is experiencing a growth spurt!
DeleteBlessings and Bear hugs, Buttons.
I'm glad to see you write. I do hope the black dog goes away.
ReplyDeleteBlack Dog is still here. I'm finding it hard to write. But I do it anyhow.
DeleteBlessings and Bear hugs, Kristy!
The rain is good for all the new plantings, Bear, and when the sun comes out tomorrow or the next, it will be glorious.
ReplyDeleteI loved how you deflected the negative thoughts. We need more people like you in the world.
DeleteIt is better today. Thanks.
DeleteBlessings and Bear hugs!
I am still thinking of you and sending you virtual bear hugs. Thanks for checking in. I do hope that Black Dog goes back into hiding soon.
ReplyDeleteBlack Dog still here. Love the Bear hugs!
DeleteBlessings and Bear hugs back to you, DJan!
The wind is blowing from the south here today with a vengeance. I'm trying as hard as I can to get it to carry some sunshine up to you.
ReplyDeleteThanks to your hard work, we got some sun and warmth today. Excellent!
DeleteBlessings and Bear hugs, Reffie!
I love SUN.
ReplyDeleteI must go back a read your previous post.
Sun was here today. Warmth felt good.
DeleteBlessings and Bear hugs, Anita!
I wish I could send you some of our beautiful Colorado sunshine.
ReplyDeleteThinking of you.

Hi, Rob. That is a cold rain for mid May. Trust you stayed warm and dry.
ReplyDeleteIt's been a really cool year, Al. Starting with the winter, which didm;t end til almost the end of April. But the climate scientists say we in the "new normal."
DeleteHope you have fun when you get back to Saskatchewan.
Blessings and Bear hugs!
Good to see that the depression break did not last too long. I hope that things continue to improve. And hopefully the weather will too.
ReplyDeleteCWx
Yes, but now I feel like I'm going back into "Break Mode" again. Sigh.
DeleteBlessings and Bear hugs, CW!
Darn near everything gets me down.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Janie
Oh, dear! I do hope you find something that picks you up, Janie!
DeleteBlessing and Bear hugs!
Why Mondays rob?
ReplyDeleteI hope the sun lulls that dawg to sleep
Love
kj
It's Mondays because that's the title of the song. Also, Monday is a bit of a let-down after Sunday. While I used to enjoy rain, I don't these days. More of a "Boo-hiss"! Maybe I will again.
DeleteDon't worry: I'm all right or the shape I'm in, so to speak. Not going to jump off any bridges or anything like that.
Blessings and Bear hugs, kj!
Good heavens! I haven't even thought of the Carpenters in years.
ReplyDeleteYou know, for a long time it's been my opinion that depression is nothing more than a perfectly normal human reaction to spending any time at all reading or watching the news.
I hope you feel better.
Ah-ha! you caught the reference. Big points for you.
ReplyDeleteDepression occurs when my desire to stay well-informed overwhelms my desire to stay sane. You're the second person to comment on how depression seems to be a built-in part of life today.
Blessings and Bear hugs, susan! Best regards to Crow.
I think of depression as somewhat like overload - information, caring, circumstances, sense of responsibility. Have bumped into your blog and appreciate your sharing. I am also well acquainted with black dog and currently in its company. Blessings.
ReplyDeleteGlad you are back- I hope you are feeling much better. Stress has got me all in a blue funk, so I can relate to your down time.
ReplyDeleteThank goodness the caniche is white.
ReplyDeleteI'm hoping things take a turn for the better soon, R-bear. In the mean time, sending loving and healing thoughts your way.

was at a blog hop at Josie Two Shoes and came across this... thought of you! http://josephsreallife.blogspot.com/2014/05/heavy.html?showComment=1400843566181#c4719028527865880692
ReplyDeleteAnd we have had our longest run of warm weather in May on record. But our emperor tells us climate change is cr*p (his word, he's an emperor.) so it must just be seasonal variation, I guess.
ReplyDeleteHello dear Bear.
ReplyDeleteFIrstly huge apologies for not visiting of late, sorry to hear about the Black Dog dear Bear, this Black Dog has also been tip toeing on moi recently but we will hopefully see light at the end of the tunnel, I am a great believer in Hope.
I have brought you a cut Rose from the garden Bear, a sweet pea scent to cheer your day.
Thinking of you and to say miss you not being on the owl post at night, perhaps you will fly over soon which would be just grand, Tiddles gives a wave too!
Best Wishes,
Camilla
I walked all over town today, under a cloudy sky (but the temp was perfect at 70, a beautiful day), in anticipation of rain predicted tomorrow. Will just have to maintain my composure! Depression sucks. Having good friends like you helps! Take good care of yourself, dear Bear.
ReplyDelete"If rainy days and Mondays always get me down, how do I feel on a Monday when it has rained all day?"
ReplyDeleteDon't get me started. I hate the long months of rain we get here in western Oregon. Black at night, gray all day. Great, just great.
How SoCalif wishes for rain! I believe I will have to visit you and others to get rained upon!
ReplyDelete"Bears Noting" has been included in Sites To See #375. Be assured that I hope this helps to point many new visitors in your direction.

Hoping that as each day passes, you feel better, my friend.
ReplyDeleteThinking of you.....

Thinking of you Bear ... since my last comment Bend has (and still is) experiencing a man-made fire of immense proportion! 6,800 acres and quite close to Bend! My daughter lives 1.6 miles from me and has been under a Level One evacuation order since Saturday (One being the lowest of three.) Air is smoky and breathing is impacted .. today for the first time since Saturday afternoon, I can see a portion of our snow covered mountains!
ReplyDeleteSorry, folks; I've been away to Alaska. Juneau, even. Met lot of really friendly bears up there. They knew how to party and behave themselves at the same time.
ReplyDeleteBlessings and Bear hugs!
