Calm is one of the last words that I would use to describe life today. There is just so much "go-go-go," it seems as if we can never catch up. We feel frazzled and constantly behind.
In response, Bear wishes to set a goal of calmness for all, and a method to achieve that calmness. This is one of Bear's remedies for the craziness of the world. Doesn't solve all the problems, but it is a good start.
This also leads into my next note, which I trust will come to you within this week.
Blessings and Bear hugs, everyone!
Today's Weather Report
Rain, all day, today and tomorrow. It hasn't happened yet, but I can feel it coming.
Either that, or I will have to go out and water my garden tomorrow.
Where would we be without tea? Although coffee is becoming almost as popular in the UK.
ReplyDeleteSorry to tell you, love, but Brits have been drinking more coffee than tea for a long time.
DeleteBlessings and Bear hugs!
Yes, let's stay calm. For me, that means not watching the news. :-)
ReplyDeleteI should do that too, but, well, Bear's too terribly newsy-nosed to completely shut off. That, however, will keep me from sanity.
DeleteBlessings and Bear hugs!
I do hope that you have to go out and water your garden tomorrow, Bear.
ReplyDeleteThat would be nice, but the "weather people" say rain all night and most of tomorrow. Strange, though, it isn't raining now, which it is supposed to be doing. I stay calm by ignoring weather reports.

Oh Bear Tea does work doesn't it. Bear hug back Hug B
ReplyDeleteIt surely does, Buttons!
DeleteBlessings and Bear hugs!
P.S.: Any more picture of cows with hats?
My calming thoughts hope to pull your rain south for a nice afternoon shower.
ReplyDeleteBreathe deep and carry on.
I would love to send some rain down to you. We are getting very "squishy" up here, with water in peoples' basement and all. On the other hand, I don't have to water my garden.
DeleteBlessings and Bear hugs!
Life has been pretty chaotic over here as well. Thanks for the idea. There's nothing like a cup of tea to calm the nerves.
ReplyDeleteHappy Monday!
Hey; great to hear from you! Hope you are OK.
DeleteI could use a cup about now, but I'll answer my notes first.
Blessings and Bear hugs!
We have this quote stuck to our tea canister.
ReplyDelete“If you are cold, tea will warm you; if you are too heated, it will cool you; if you are depressed, it will cheer you; if you are excited, it will calm you.” William Gladstone. It really does help me to chill with a pot of tea. It is simplistic but the whole ritual calms me to make a pot of tea and drink it.
Thanks for the wonderful quote! Hope you folks are doing OK.

Now, about that rain...We all need more of it.
ReplyDeleteWhenever I needed calm, I asked my hubby to drive us down to the seashore.
A definite calming environment!
Without rain, would we all have a dry sense of humour?
DeleteA trip to the seashore, watching the waves come and go, walking among the driftwood and shells.. Sounds delightfully relaxing.
Blessings and Bear hugs!
Off to have a cuppa now then. Are you like the Kiwi and drinks loads of Earl grey with a splash of milk on top (or the other way around). Here in the US people are always worried about the addition of the milk.
ReplyDeleteI take my Grey Earl either clear, or with a few drops of lemon. Much more civilized that some things which are consumed in the colonies. (That would be the other colonies.) Although I'm told some Canadians do take tea with milk.

Hi Bear! On my blog reader on iPad all I could see was "Stay Calm and Drink". And I wondered whether Bear was trying to tell us something! Good to know it's tea ...
ReplyDeleteI am, indeed, trying to tell you something. If you want to stay calm, have a cup of tea. Or two. But I'm sure you've figured that out.
DeleteBlessings and Bear hugs!
Agreed - drinking tea and feeling calm as I speak xoxo
ReplyDeleteYou know, Amanda, this Bear would never lead you down a bad trail. Time for me to have some tea, too. (Suddenly, I feel like a cha-cha; I wonder why?)
DeleteBlessing and Bear hugs!
A feeling of calm is a fine goal. Tea (Chai) works for me but coffee is counter-productive.
ReplyDeleteBring on the Chai!
DeleteSay, can you hold a cup of Chai in one hand, and take a picture with the other? I'll bet you can. You're clever that way.
Blessings and Bear hugs!
Wavelength! I have been drinking much more tea than coffee lately, and I even met an old frirnd for tea last week. It was the first time we had seen one another in 34 years, and tea suited the reunion perfectly.
ReplyDeleteYou are so wise, dearest Bear.
Way to go, Lydia! Tea for two and a great visit.
ReplyDeleteBlessings and Bear hugs on Canada Day!
I'm not much of a tea drinker, but my husband loves it. Maybe I should give it a try because D Dr Pepper does NOT calm me down. :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a splendid thought, Terri! While black tea is excellent, you might find green or herbal tea even more calming. (Though I must admit Dr. Pepper tastes good, if you want to be uncalm.)
