Three of these guys are cousins of mine. The fourth one (at the back) is my nephew (though I originally mistook him for another cousin).
Please do not mess with these guys! The encounter will not end well — for you — if you do!
Aside from that, Blessings and Bear hugs!
Today's Weather Report
Overcast (as in quite grey), -25C (-13F) with the wind chill at -36C (-33F).
Youe the only bear I would even consider messin with but the caniche is not so smart.
ReplyDeleteOK. I'll tell the cousins if they see a slightly demented caniche to go easy on him, even if he is a bit annoying.
DeleteBlessings and Bear hugs — and see if you can hibernate for a day or two amid the snow.
We got about16" and expecting more this weekend.....thanks for the good word...the caniche is old and I suspect would be tough and stringy anyway!
DeleteGreat! Just put on your snowshoes or skis and you can make a quick trip to almost anywhere. Just tuck Skip in your backpack, and you will both be fine.
DeleteOr just hibernate. I cannot understand why Humans have such trouble with the concept.
Blessings and Bear hugs!
Yes, they can have the entire street....not like I'm given a choice on that. ;)
ReplyDeleteBrrrrr! We are in the 20's with a brisk north wind. Ugh. Cold for us.
((HUGS))
Don't worry, Reffie. As long as you're polite and respectful, you'll get along with them just fine. Just think of them as Hell's Angels without the motorcycles.
DeleteHmmmm. Perhaps that's the wrong comparison.
Blessings and Bear hugs!
But they are so cute and cuddly. If I ever see one in the wild, I'll drop my bag of marshmallows to distract him and run.
ReplyDeleteSounds cold there...brrrr.
Oh, they are cute and cuddly, Mary. You could wrap your arms around them, and scratch them behind the ears, and whisper sweet nothings to them, and have a great time. Nothing really to fear; they're only 6'6" and 790 pounds. (Just a little larger than a rat.)
DeleteIt's only when you mess with them that things turn ugly. I thought I was clear about that. Perhaps I wasn't.
Blessings and Bear hugs!
I promise to stay out of their way.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Janie
They're not all that bad. The message is cautionary. I'm never sure what mood they will be in.
DeleteBlessings and Bear hugs!
Oh I have family you should not confront either:) Cute family. Nice weather it is the same here but a blizzard again:) B
ReplyDeleteThe only ones I won't confront are Wolves. Wolves and Bears have an ongoing love-hate relationship.
DeleteI hope you don't get buried in the snow. If you have trouble, I know where I can round up a pack of St. Bernards, and we could come get you.
Blessings and Bear hugs.
Where are the females???
ReplyDeleteOne of them is female. Females are generally too rough to "play" with the boys, so they have their own gang.
DeleteGetting a picture of them might put my life in danger, and I'm family. I know when to leave well enough alone.
Blessings and friendly Bear hugs!
Yikes! They are not relatives I'm anxious to meet and greet, Rob! :-)
ReplyDeleteThey're really Teddy Bears, DJan, except if you mess with them. Then, you'll see another side of their character.
DeleteHope things are going well. I know it's not an easy week for you and your family.
Blessings and Bear hugs!
Love the bear picture ;o) I will for sure keep out of their way! Hugs ;o)
ReplyDeleteActually, Crow, if you're nice to them, you won't likely have any problems at all.
DeleteBlessings and Bear hugs!
So glad they love cold weather! You are all amazing to my eyes; I could never live in that weather.
ReplyDelete"Amazing," you say. I'll tell them that. They will laugh. They think that up here is pretty normal, though normal is a relative word. I'm sure you would adjust to this if you had to.
DeleteBlessings and Bear hugs!
Bears, wandering the streets! What's next...graffiti??!!
ReplyDeleteOh, yes, we have graffiti. But it's not cute, like Bears, so I don't bother with pictures of it. Unless you're dying to see some. We also have some giraffiti too — graffiti placed high on walls.
DeleteBlessings and Bear hugs!
Wow. Now bears wandering on our road, that would be an event!
ReplyDeleteI didn't think there were any Bears left in the wild anywhere in Britain. So, yes, that would be an event, indeed! Call out the army, perhaps?
DeleteBlessings and Bear hugs!
Well they can certainly have the leeway...I'll take the other road!!
ReplyDeleteMarvellous decision, Terri. Though, truth be told, I've seen them get out of the way of large cars and pick-up trucks. They might even give you half the road if you were moving fairly quickly.
DeleteBlessings and Bear hugs!
I know there are black bears in the countryside around here, but happily, there are none in the park where we usually walk.
ReplyDeleteI hope it warms up for you soon.
Not to worry, susan. My kin are out west, so they should pose no problems for you. Even thought we are brown Bears, not the blacks you haven the east.
DeleteSeems that tomorrow will be just as cold as today. But spring will come — perhaps at the end of April.
Blessings and Bear hugs!
You have such a handsome family... despite their evident reputation as thugs. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you for the delightful comments on my family. I'll pass the thought along. But they don't see themselves as thugs. They're "protectors of the neighbourhood," so to speak, That sounds much better than "thugs."
