IN WHICH BEAR GOES ONE STEP TOO FAR

. . . and does not enjoy it. Not one bit!

I try to get along with Humans. But being friendly sometimes doesn't work out to my benefit. I'm sure you understand.

Picture for unrecalled magazine ad.

I . do . not . like . riding . in . cars! They are far too small for my expansive frame!

I think I'm clear enough about that.

Oh, well. Blessings and Bear hugs, folks!

    1. Oh, Jackie; that would be even worse. I hate being in traffic even more than I hate being in cars!

    1. Had a Jeep once upon a time. Rode around topless one summer. That's the way to go!

    2. Oh yes .. I've driven my VW Cabrio since September 2000 ... only way to go in the summer. My AC doesn't work and I don't care.

    3. I can see the headlines: "Bend Woman Goes Topless All Summer: No Arrests Made." That fits you so perfectly, Helen.

  4. Hardest work I do in a day is fold myself in and out of a car. Ladas actually have a good deal of room, once I get into them but others not so much. You and I are big truck people/bears.

    1. Indeed we are! Folding oneself into a car is like getting bent out of shape; not a good thing.

  5. Limo is too "showy." Better a Jeep. Or pick-up truck.

    1. a convertible limo would provide plenty of room and head space! You could cammo it up with tree branches and stuff!

    2. Limo is still too pretentious, even if converted. Jeep is much better!

  7. That's just too perfect, Bear. I can totally understand why you don't like to ride around in cars. You sure do look sweet in there, though. :-)

    1. Oh, my sentiment entirely, DJan. And I don't think I look sweet; don't you see the pained expression on m face?

    1. Thanks, Janie. It was a terribly tight squeeze. And I thought cars were supposed to be comfortable. All a matter of perspective, I suppose.

  10. A bearmobile with all the gadgets. That is what is needed for bear. You could be comfortable and wouldn't always have to walk. Bears get sore feet, too. (I think)

    1. A Bearmobile! Of course! Now why didn't I think of that?

Thanks Manzanita! One smart, Montana woman.

  11. Bears need space, so a nice big van would maybe be a better fit for a bear. You know the kind..a double long, double wide van with a jacuzzi, King size bed and wide screen tv. Sheesh we might need a travel trailer for all those amenities. lol

So glad you've dropped by the Bear's den. Please leave a note -- getting notes is such fun, and often informative. I'll get back to you, here or by e-mail, as soon as I can (or, if it's winter, after I wake up). 'Til then, please Bear with me.
