PAIN AND SUFFERING AND STUFF

I'm sorry I've not been around the way I wanted to be this fall.

Truth is I'm recovering from major surgery. And the recovery is going more slowly than I expected it would. All very painful, in fact. Including the two infections that I picked up in hospital.

Life is "interesting."

Blessings and Bear hugs.

Today's Weather Report

Sunny with a high of 18C (about 65F). Nice fall day. I hope to sleep through most of it. When I'm asleep I don't feel the pain.

  2. I'm so sorry. Hospitals are very good at growing infections.

  3. I hope you recovery speeds up soon. Sleep helps in more ways than one.

    1. You re so right, Susan! And normally sleeping is something I do well! But not when irritated by pain.

The solution to the pain irritation is often opioid medication. But those meds have become a political football in many places. And, as usual, once the politicians get into the game they create a real mess. "There is a story in that," said the reporter.

Take care. Best wishes to Crow.

  4. Oh, Bear, I did not know. I'm sending prayers for speedy healing to you. I had an infection after surgery ages ago and it was really scary and more painful than the original incision. Please take good care; these can be life-threatening.
    Much love to you.

    1. Thanks, Lydia. I have had through three post-urgical infections, all picked up in hospital. "There is a story in that," said the reporter. :)

    1. Thanks for the kind thoughts. I thought as going to go through this like I was on a cake walk. That didn't happen. Not the kind of surprise I appreciate.

  8. Sorry to hear of your travails, Bear. I always am happy to "see" your smiling "face" in my news feed, though. Rest up and get well.

    1. Thanks, DJan. I like to show up with my "smiling" face, and I'm trying hard to do that. But I'll tell you, this pain and infection stuff has really thrown me for a loop — far worse than anything I could have expected. So you're seeing some of "imperfect" face these days, which makes me additionally sad.

    1. No baby here! Just a Bear. Just a big, antagonized Bear! The kind of Bear with whom you do not want to cross paths!

      You have been warned!

So glad you've dropped by the Bear's den. Please leave a note -- getting notes is such fun, and often informative. I'll get back to you, here or by e-mail, as soon as I can (or, if it's winter, after I wake up). 'Til then, please Bear with me.
