Truth is I'm recovering from major surgery. And the recovery is going more slowly than I expected it would. All very painful, in fact. Including the two infections that I picked up in hospital.
Life is "interesting."
Blessings and Bear hugs.
Today's Weather Report
Sunny with a high of 18C (about 65F). Nice fall day. I hope to sleep through most of it. When I'm asleep I don't feel the pain.
Dear R-Bear,
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry to hear you are suffering and in pain. Sending you blessings, bear hugs and deepest wishes for a full and speedy recovery.
With love,
Amanda
Thanks, Amanda, for your thoughtfulness. This has not been fun.
DeleteI'm so sorry. Hospitals are very good at growing infections.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Janie
Yes, sadly. High nuisance value!
DeleteI hope you recovery speeds up soon. Sleep helps in more ways than one.
ReplyDeleteYou re so right, Susan! And normally sleeping is something I do well! But not when irritated by pain.
DeleteThe solution to the pain irritation is often opioid medication. But those meds have become a political football in many places. And, as usual, once the politicians get into the game they create a real mess. "There is a story in that," said the reporter.
Take care. Best wishes to Crow.
Oh, Bear, I did not know. I'm sending prayers for speedy healing to you. I had an infection after surgery ages ago and it was really scary and more painful than the original incision. Please take good care; these can be life-threatening.
ReplyDeleteMuch love to you.
Thanks, Lydia. I have had through three post-urgical infections, all picked up in hospital. "There is a story in that," said the reporter. :)
DeleteHope you keep getting better!
ReplyDeleteI hope that, too! Thanks.
DeleteI am so sorry to hear this Rob. I have checked your blog over the months to see if I missed something you may have written. I do hope your recovery will be quick and pain free. Take care, my friend, there are many of us who care about you.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the kind thoughts. I thought as going to go through this like I was on a cake walk. That didn't happen. Not the kind of surprise I appreciate.
DeleteI'm so sorry to hear about your medical woes. Do as much hibernating as you need to fight those nasty infections and get your strength back.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Susan. I'm doing the best that I can to feel better and be healthier. This current "high nuisance" experience is not good!
DeleteTake care, my friend, there are many of us who care about you.

Thank you, roth, for your care!
DeleteSorry to hear of your travails, Bear. I always am happy to "see" your smiling "face" in my news feed, though. Rest up and get well.
ReplyDeleteThanks, DJan. I like to show up with my "smiling" face, and I'm trying hard to do that. But I'll tell you, this pain and infection stuff has really thrown me for a loop — far worse than anything I could have expected. So you're seeing some of "imperfect" face these days, which makes me additionally sad.
Delete"Blog difficulties are temporary; please do not adjust your computer."
Thanks for your comment, Ly Heng.
ReplyDeletePoor baby!!
ReplyDeleteNo baby here! Just a Bear. Just a big, antagonized Bear! The kind of Bear with whom you do not want to cross paths!
DeleteYou have been warned!
