Happy Fourth of July, folks.

Blessings and Canadian Bear hugs, friends!
It's 29C (84F) but feels like 36C (97F). Some southern American weather in Canada for Independence Day? Hmmmm. Texas, perhaps. Or Arizona?
So glad you've dropped by the Bear's den. Please leave a note -- getting notes is such fun, and often informative. I'll get back to you, here or by e-mail, as soon as I can (or, if it's winter, after I wake up). 'Til then, please Bear with me.
PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS AN AWARD-FREE AND MEME-FREE SITE. While I'm honoured to receive awards, I find they take way too much energy in completing. Thanks, but no, thanks.
Thanks for the wishes that I have a happy Independence Day, Bear. So far, so good. :-)
ReplyDeleteThat's great, DJan. Bear is a bit slow (as usual), but the wishes are heart-felt.

Thank you Rob! Enjoy your summery weekend ....
ReplyDeleteWell, thanks, I guess. It's just that the main purpose for the holiday--as far as I can tell--is getting drunk and blowing-up fireworks, and having spent 15 years with a dog that was deathly afraid of fireworks, I am rather jaundiced in that area. But, again, it's the thought that counts, so thank you very much, dear Bear.
ReplyDeleteP.S. Since you're thoughtful regarding holidays, I should mention that my birthday is March 1, and I especially enjoy large gifts of money, although I'm open to other suggestions.
Oh I'll take the heat off of your paws. It's cooled down here a wee bit.
ReplyDeleteFor this relief, much thanks.

We are getting ready to watch some fireworks here.
ReplyDeleteOh, good. In Roanoke, or closer to home?

Oh yes we love our American friends Bear, I am sure they will have a good weekend. B
ReplyDeleteI certainly trust they will, too.
DeleteDry enough to make hay yet?
Blessings and Bear hugs!
Bear, thank you for the Independence Days wishes. I went to work today, as commerce is an important force in this country. The weather this evening is much improved for the chilly rain that fell throughout most of the day.
ReplyDeleteA great night for the fireworks displays. This year, the East Side of NYC is the site, so I'm happy to stay home and resting my feet over here on the West Side.
xo
Ah, yes — worshipping the god of consumerism. Whether you want to or not.
DeleteSorry you are missing the fireworks on your side of the city. Maybe a cup of tea and a book while you rest your feet.
Blessings and Bear hugs!
And a belated Happy Canada Day to you Bear!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Terri. Hope you had a good day!
